Murphy, Elaine (nee Hackes) age 77 of Totowa at rest in Totowa on October 7, 2008. Born in Little Falls, she lived in Totowa since 1952. Mrs. Murphy was a housewife and a volunteer with the National Literacy Program. Beloved wife of the late Anthony Red Murphy (1991). Loving Mother of Peter Murphy & his wife, Maria of Totowa and Patricia Murphy Sagan & her husband, Thomas of Blairstown. Grandmother of Jacqueline E. Sagan, Anthony Murphy, Daniel Sagan, Brendan Murphy and Kendall Murphy. Sister of Mary Juhlin of Little Falls, Eleanor Brennan of Little Falls and the late George, Michael, Joseph, Andrew, Peter, Helen, Nelly, Sophie, Eva, and Annie. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 8:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James RC Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Interment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may call Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to Homes For Our Troops 37 Main St., Taunton, Mass. 02780 ( www.homesforourtroops.org) (866-7-TROOPS) would be appreciated.
