Amato, Lena R. (nee Jannace) age 95 of Paterson at rest in Oakland on January 30, 2008. Beloved wife of the late Russell J. Amato. Loving Mother of Peter J. Amato of Cape Cod, Mass and the late Josephine A. Neglia. Sister of Peter J. Jannace of Rocky Point, LI, NY. Grandmother of Venise Freitag, Donna McAteer, Frank Neglia, JoAnn Monastra, Kathy Pisano, Russell Amato, Peter Amato and Susan Birnbaum. Also survived by 21 great-grandchildren. Born in Brooklyn, she lived in Brooklyn before moving to Paterson in 1964. She was a Hand Sewer for H&D Sportswear, West Paterson for 12 years before retiring in 1976. Mrs. Amato was a member of the I.L.G.W.U, New York, NY. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Saturday at 8:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard R.C. Church, Paterson at 9:00 AM. Interment at St. John's Cemetery, Queens, NY. Friends may call Friday 2-4 and 7-9 PM.
