Obituary of Joseph F. Birtley

Birtley, Joseph Joe F. age 89 of Totowa at rest in Totowa on November 22, 2007. Born in Scranton, PA, he lived in Scranton before moving to Totowa 55 years ago. Mr. Birtley was a Warehouse Manager for Jencraft Inc., Totowa for many years before retiring in 1985. He was a WWII Army veteran and a Purple Heart receipient. For many years he volunteered for CHORE Services, Hackensack. Beloved husband of the late and former Catherine Krulan. Father of Joseph D. Birtley of Clifton, Cynthia D. Marositz of Kinnelon and the late Barbara Fisher. Grandfather of Lorraine Hunnefeld, Robin La Femina and Jill Buck. Great grandfather of Tara Le Femina and Logan Buck. Also surviving are 3 brothers, 3 sisters and many nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Graveside service at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Forest Lawn Section, 295 Totowa Road, Totowa, on Monday at 10:00 AM.
