Smith, Robert C. "Smitty" age 68 of Totowa at rest in Totowa on July 13, 2026. Beloved husband of the former Elaine M. Rocco of Totowa. Loving father of Dana Rubestello and her husband Randy of Pompton Plains, Pequannock Twp., and Michael Cucolo of Bloomfield, NJ. Dear son of the late Charles and the late Margaret (nee Simeone) Smith. Brother of Doreen Iandoli of Staten Island, NY. Adoring grandfather of Angelina Williams, Vanessa Silva and her husband Joey, Kayla Williams, Carlo Williams and Caden Rubestello. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and his beloved pet dogs, Luna and Damian. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., he lived in Staten Island for most of his life before moving to Totowa twenty four years ago.

Robert loved life he loved people, animals and his personality was bigger than life. He was the most caring and helpful person ready to be there for anyone who needed his help. He was a loving devoted husband, father , pop pop, son, brother , father in law , friend , and all around amazing person. His family, friends, and his dearly loved pets Damien and Luna always came first . He worked very hard at the NYC Dept of Environmental protection for DC local 1320. He also worked side jobs as a plumber to make sure he took care of his loving wife. He loved cracking jokes, cooking, baking his famous cheese cake, making homemade red wine and his cigars. He loved traveling together with his wife Elaine to the shore, Aruba, Dominican Republic and all over they would go together. His most favorite hobby was golf and he made it a point to get out there on the course every week. He loved the NY Yankees, Rangers, and Giants. He loved his family most and he loved them so well. We will miss him every second of every day. We love him more then words can express.

Cremation was private.
