Phillip H. Caramico Obituary
Phillip H. Caramico, 88, of Woodcliff Lake, passed away peacefully on July 5, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.
Phil was a brilliant man whose life was defined by humility, dedication, quiet generosity, and a deep love for his family. He earned an engineering degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University and was admired throughout his life for his intelligence, professionalism, exceptional work ethic, and practical, frugal approach to life.
Phil had a curious spirit and a deep appreciation for healthy living. He and his beloved wife, Gloria, shared a passion for travel and embraced natural health practices, yoga, and meditation, finding joy in a lifestyle centered on wellness, balance, and life's simple pleasures. Together they created cherished memories spending winter months in Sanibel, Florida, skiing in Canada, enjoying autumn visits to Manchester, Vermont, and summer vacations on Long Beach Island.
Phil had a generous spirit and was known for his quiet acts of kindness. Quick with a joke to break the ice, he enjoyed making people smile and often brightened someone's day by leaving an extra tip for a server, helping someone in need, or offering an unexpected act of generosity to a stranger.
Phil is survived by his stepdaughters, Kelly Del Vecchio (Rodney) and Barbara "Bobbie" Menzel (Paul); grandchildren, Jackson & Andrew Menzel, Marie & D'Vante Malone; nephew, Paul Darrigo; and niece, Gina Darrigo. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Gloria; sister, Irene; and niece, Marie.
Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, July 9, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Boulevard, Totowa, New Jersey. A Christian service will begin at 1:00 p.m., followed by entombment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park Cemetery in Totowa.
