Donald W. Schink Jr., age 73, of Okatie, passed away peacefully in Neptune on May 5, 2026. Beloved husband of Donna Kelley Schink of Okatie. Devoted son of the late Donald W. Schink Sr. and Julia Schink. Loving father of Donald W. Schink III and his wife, Nicole, of Fair Haven, and Kevin M. Schink of Highland Lakes. Proud grandfather of Will and Lucia Schink. Don was predeceased by his brothers, William and Paul Schink. Dear uncle of William Schink Jr. and Renee Schink, and caring cousin of Rev. Susan Schink.

Born in Paterson, Don grew up in Totowa and lived in Mendham for 20 years before moving to South Carolina 20 years ago.

Don earned his master’s degree and began his career as Comptroller of Altherm, Inc. in Englewood, later serving as Vice President and eventually President before retiring eight years ago. He was an avid golfer and a member of Callawassie Island Golf Club. Don was inducted into the Passaic Valley High School Athletic Hall of Fame and was a starting player for the East Carolina Pirates football. He was also a devoted member of the Episcopal Church in Okatie and a lifelong fan of the New York Mets, New York Jets, and New York Knicks.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at Festa Memorial Funeral Home on Saturday at 10:30 AM, conducted by Rev. Susan Schink. Interment will follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park. Friends may visit on Friday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
