Jane Fleming Obituary
Jane Fleming, age 82, of Oak Ridge, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026, with her two sons by her side.
Jane was a truly beautiful soul—kind, gentle, and full of love. She had a unique gift for making everyone around her feel special and cared for. Her warmth, her laughter, and the love she gave so freely will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Born in Paterson, Jane lived in Roxbury and Oak Ridge.
She retired in 2012 and enjoyed every moment of it. She was a passionate fan of country music and loved line dancing, which brought her so much joy and kept her spirit young. It was this vibrant personality that earned her the nickname "Peaches," affectionately given to her by her loving niece, Kristin. Jane especially looked forward to the Fleming family Christmas party every year, a time she cherished for being with those she loved. Her strength and beautiful smile were gifts to everyone she knew; she will be remembered forever for the way she always put others first and for the home and heart she created for her family. We will especially miss her presence in our daily lives, including her thoughtful texts at 3:33 every day.
Jane was the beloved mother of James DeLade and his wife Toni, and Scott DeLade and his partner Jennifer. She was the proud and adoring grandmother of Jaiden (and fiancée Erin), Jackson, and Mason.
She was the cherished daughter of the late Michael and Adele (nee Cowan) Fleming. Jane was a loving sister to Robert Fleming and his wife Zina, Michael Fleming and his wife Audrey, James Fleming and his wife Bettina, and Adele Fleming. She was predeceased by her dear sister, Eleanor DiFidi. She is also lovingly survived by many nieces and nephews who will hold her close in their hearts always. We will miss her more than words can say.
