Mirkov, George M. Sr, age 93 of East Stroudsburg, PA at rest in Stroudsburg, PA on March 26, 2026. Beloved husband of the late, Marija (nee Bončič) Mirkov (1999). Loving father of Gerard Mirkov and his wife Suzanne, George Mirkov, Jr., and Barbara Wall and her husband George. Devoted grandfather of Matthew and his wife Laura, Bethany and her husband Peter, Brittney and her husband Tanner, Jillian, and Abigail. Cherished great-grandfather of Rose, Margaret, Jude, Madison, Vanessa, and Anneliese. He is also survived by a sister in-law and nieces and nephews. Born in Olib, Croatia he immigrated to the United States eventually settling in Paterson, NJ where he raised his family before moving to East Stroudsburg. He was a woodworking foreman for EDI/ECI, Paterson, for 40 years before retiring in 1995. George’s faith and his family were most important to him and he was proud of being involved in various church choirs over the years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Wednesday 4/1/26 at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Gerard RC Church, Paterson at 9:30 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Tuesday 3/31/26 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
