She was a graduate of St. John's High School. She later worked for Bankers Trust on Wall Street in NYC as a bookkeeper. She then became an entrepreneur, owning an antiques business for fifty years. Mary married her high school sweetheart and the love of her life, John Henry Feenan. Theirs was a true love story, spanning 64 years, until John’s passing in 2013. Together, they raised their eight children. Mary is survived her children; John J. Mary adored her husband, John; he and her children were her world. Together, Mary and John were a master class in what marriage should be: loving and supporting one another through all of life's twists and turns. As a mother, there could be none better. Mary loved each of her children deeply, and being together brought her joy. She was so very proud of her grandchildren and how their lives were taking shape. The recent news of the pending arrival of two more great-grandchildren was a delight to her. Mary’s was a life well lived; she was a woman who deeply loved her Catholic faith, her country, her family, and her fellow man. She was a dedicated lifelong parishioner at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Paterson, NJ. She was a lady through and through, graceful and nurturing; a creative soul who loved art, antiques, and music. She brought immense joy to all she encountered. She was a peacemaker, true and honest, always trying to do what was right with love and a fervent desire to help anyone in need. She had unparalleled compassion and understanding of people’s struggles. Simply put, she was what we should all aspire to be!
