Gutierrez, Ralph, age 79, of Woodland Park, passed away in Paterson on March 13, 2026.

He was born in Paterson, but moved to Woodland Park in the early nineteen-seventies. He served in the United States Army as a Culinary Specialist during the Vietnam War, stationed in Korea. He worked as a Customer Service Supervisor for PSEG in Cranford for 40 years, before retiring in 2008. He served as Baseball Commissioner of the Woodland Park Boys and Girls Club for 11 years. He belonged to Our Lady of Pompei Church.

He played golf in Pennsylvania with longtime friends. He vacationed at the Panoramic Motel and Apartments in Wildwood. He followed the New York Giants, Mets, and Rangers. He hosted a Christmas Day dinner each year and treated his decorations as a yearly tradition that deeply mattered to him.

He was the husband of Mary Ann Gutierrez. He was the father of Richard Gutierrez and his wife, Giovanna, and of the late Anthony Gutierrez. He was the grandfather of Gabriella and Samantha Gutierrez. His siblings, Manuel and Teresa Gutierrez, passed away before him."

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 8:45 AM. Funeral mass to follow at Our Lady of Pompeii R.C. Church, Paterson at 9:30 AM. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Friends may visit on Friday, March 20, 2026 from 4:00 to 8:00 PM.
