Macauley, Robert G. age 92 of Pequannock at rest in Pequannock on March 5, 2026. Beloved husband of the late, Georgina (nee Balfour) Macauley, and the late Naomi (nee Zemlansky) Macauley. Loving father of Craig Macauley and his wife Donna, Susan (nee Macauley) Brunetti and her husband Antonio and the late David Macauley. Dear father in-law of Kathryn Macauley. Adoring grandfather of Mitch Macauley, Kira Macauley, Kevin Macauley, Isabella Brunetti, and Rebecca Brunetti. Dear son of the late Percival and the late Gertrude (nee Guthmuller) Macauley. Brother of the late John (Jack) Macauley and the late Helen Piersall. Brother in-law of Lindalee Macauley, and the late H. Henry Piersall. Uncle of Bonnie and Christina Macauley, Gail Rawcliffe, and the late Stephen Piersall. Born in East Orange, he lived in East Orange, then in Bloomfield and Little Falls before moving to Pequannock. Mr. Macauley graduated from Clifford Scott High School in 1951 and from Upsala College with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Math in 1955. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1957. He remained in the Reserves, achieving the rank of Master Sargeant, from 1957-1962. He was also employed by the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company from 1957 to 1958. He then went on to work for Prudential Insurance Company as an Associate Director of Group Pensions from 1958-1994. Robert was the President of the American Cancer Society, Morris County Chapter from 1977-1978. He was a Troop Chairman and Scoutmaster of the Boys Scouts of America (Troop 6, Bloomfield, from 1968-1985 then President from 1985-1986) Tamarack Council. He was also a Little League Coach for the Oak View School. He was a board member and chair at Tulip Meadows Condominium Association and a member of the Montclair Beach Club for 45 years. He was a member, elder and treasurer at the Watchung Presbyterian Church from 1962-2022. He loved to travel and cruise with his wife Naomi and he enjoyed golfing. Robert was a devoted season ticket holder (35 years) and avid fan of Army West Point Football. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Tuesday at 9:00 AM. Funeral service to follow at Watchung Presbyterian Church, Bloomfield at 10:00 AM. Interment at Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield. Friends may visit Monday 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Cancer Society, would be appreciated.
