Potoczak, Paul J. age 68 of Totowa at rest in Totowa on January 22, 2026.  Beloved husband of Carol (nee Lynd) Potoczak.  Loving father of Michael Potoczak and his wife Jessica and Brian Potoczak.  Dear brother of Priscilla Skyta and her husband Paul and Shirley Hall and her husband Art. Adoring grandfather of Liam Potoczak. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who were considered family.

Born in Passaic NJ, Paul lived in West Paterson before moving to Totowa. He began his career at Standard Tile in Totowa, New Jersey, where he learned the trade before going on to start his own business. Through his work, he helped countless homeowners and businesses, completing projects ranging from simple backsplashes to large commercial jobs.

Paul also served as Director of Environmental Services at Preakness Health Care Center in Wayne for over 25 years, where he was beloved by patients and staff alike, before retiring in 2019.

Paul was a dedicated member of Volunteer Fire Company #1, of Totowa joining in 1992.  

He cherished time spent with his sons, nieces, nephews, family and friends, especially when it involved golf, fishing, a great meal, or cheering on the New York Football Giants.

Above all, Paul had a way of lighting up any room. He was a natural storyteller who could captivate anyone willing to listen, and he was known for his unforgettable laugh — when he laughed, everyone laughed.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Thursday at 8:45 AM.  Funeral Mass to follow at St. Bonaventure RC Church, Paterson at 9:30 AM. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa.  Friends may visit Wednesday 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
