Frederick (Fred) Viasso, 80, of Wayne, NJ, passed away on January 4, 2026.

Funeral service will be held at St James Catholic Church on January 9th at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa NJ. Visitation will be held at Festa Memorial Funeral Home on Thursday from 4-8 PM. Festa Memorial Funeral Home will be handling the funeral arrangements.

Fred was born in Paterson, NJ to Frederico and Edith Viasso on October 31st, 1945. He went to high school at Passaic Valley and graduated in 1963. A couple years after graduating high school, he joined the Air Force.  In 1969, he enrolled at the Teterboro School of Aeronautics.  He went on to work for Custom Aircraft Completions for most of his career and eventually retired from Dassault Falcon.  Fred was a member of the Pines Lake Fishing and Sailing club. He also enjoyed playing golf. One of Fred's greatest joys was watching his daughters play sports during their childhood years.

Fred is survived by his wife Evelyn Viasso of Wayne, NJ, his daughter Adrienne Tamboia (husband Paul Tamboia) of Wayne, NJ, his daughter Tracey Reppy (husband Kevin Reppy) of Cornelius, NC, his 4 grandchildren Lucia and Adelyn Tamboia and Dylan and Olivia Reppy. 

Memorial donations may be made to the North Shore Animal League, 25 Davis Ave, Port Washington, NY 11050.  The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the North Shore Animal League.
