Monochello, Anthony John, Sr., age 76 of Totowa at rest in Pequannock on January 2, 2026. Beloved husband of Gail (nee Backert) Monochello. Loving father of Tony Monochello and his wife Kelly, Robert Monochello and his wife Darlene, Michael Monochello and his wife Shpresa, Dennis Monochello and his wife Ashley and Ann Marie Velazquez and her husband Phil. Dear grandfather of Robbie, Mario, Julius, Averi, Kerrigan, Medi, Nola, Marina, Devin and Rylie. Brother of the late Emmanuel Monochello and the late Joseph Monochello. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson for most of his life before moving to Totowa five years ago. He was a Postal Carrier for the United State Postal Service, Fair Lawn, for thirty-three years before retiring in 2004. Anthony was an Army veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post #227, Totowa and a member of the N.A.L.C. He was also a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Wednesday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 10:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Tuesday 4-8 PM. In lieu of flowers donations to St. James R.C. Church, Totowa would be appreciated.
