King, Nancy L. age 76 of Totowa at rest in Hackensack on December 6, 2025. Beloved wife of fifty two years to Douglas O. King. Loving mother of Gregory King and his wife Alyssa of Pompton Plains, Michael King and his wife Lisa of Kinnelon, and Christopher King of Totowa. Dear daughter of the late Herman and the late Eleanor (nee Cortese) Nowen. Dear grandmother of Bella King, Julia King, Jax King, and Olivia King. Sister of David Nowen and his wife Diana of Totowa and the late Maryann Nowen (1972). Aunt of Sara Friedland of Ramsey, and Matt Nowen of Oradell. Born in Paterson, she lived in Totowa all of her life.

Growing up in Totowa, she attended grammar school and high school at St. Bonaventure's in Paterson. A 1971 graduate of William Paterson College with a bachelor's degree in education, and later a master's degree from Seton Hall University in 1999, Nancy was an elementary school teacher in the Kinnelon (NJ) Public School System for nearly 30 years and a proud member of the NJEA teachers' union. In 1989, she was named Kinnelon Teacher of the Year.

After retiring in 2010, Nancy spent most of her time down the Jersey Shore at the family's beloved condo in Beach Haven on Long Beach Island. Following in the footsteps of her Italian ancestors, her Christmas Eve family parties were her favorite time of year! She was an avid baker who enjoyed making desserts for her entire family. Spending time with her husband, sons, and grandchildren was what she cherished most. She'll be missed dearly by all who loved her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Friday, December 12, 2025 at 8:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Bonaventure R.C. Church, Paterson at 9:00 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Thursday, December 11, 2025 from 4:00-8:00 PM.
