John Joseph McCann, 71, of Poinciana, FL, passed away on Friday, November 21, 2025.

He was a devoted husband, father, Pop-Pop, and uncle who touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

John is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lorraine (Lori) McCann (née Heilman) of Poinciana, FL; his son and daughter-in-law, Jonathan and Nicole McCann; and his beloved granddaughters, Catherine Rose and Isabella, all of Cream Ridge, NJ. He is also survived by his sister, Rose Iandoli of Hawthorne, NJ, as well as nieces and nephew.

John grew up in West Paterson, New Jersey, and graduated from Passaic County Technical Vocational High School. In his early years, he served his community as a volunteer with the West Paterson Rescue Squad, the West Paterson Fire Department, and as a Special Offi cer with the West Paterson Police Department. He began his career as a mechanic and went on to become a successful small business owner, operating West Paterson Amoco, Ironbound Amoco in Newark, NJ, as well as Market Street Amoco and Broadway Amoco in Paterson, NJ.

For many years, John lived in Bedminster, NJ, and was an active golfer and member at a number of golf clubs. During his career, he served on the Amoco Marketing Advisory Board and was President of the New Jersey Amoco Charity Committee, where he organized numerous fundraising events benefi ting the Children's Miracle Network—a cause he cared for deeply.

Later in life, John relocated to Florida, happily trading snowy New Jersey winters for sunshine. There, he became an avid and accomplished golfer and worked at Walt Disney World's Hollywood Studios as a coordinator on attractions such as Star Tours. He loved golf, fi shing, and was known for his kindness, generosity, his unmistakable belly laugh, and unwavering dedication to his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to share their memories and condolences during a Memorial Service on Saturday, December 6th, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, NJ, with a Prayer Service at 12:30 p.m.
