Intrieri, Luigi A. "Louie" age 48 of Totowa at rest in Franklin Township on November 9, 2025. Dear son of Bruna (nee Santoro) Intrieri of Totowa and the late Espedito (Angelo) Intrieri, (2025). Loving brother of Tina DeRose and her husband Michael of East Hanover and Angela Intrieri of Totowa. Beloved uncle of Andrew DeRose, uncle and Godfather of Vincent DeRose and Godfather to Alexandro Forte. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends here in the U.S.A and in Italy. Born in Wayne, Louie lived in Totowa his entire life. Louie was a graduate of Passaic Valley Regional High School, Little Falls, Class of 1994. He was an Electrician for I.B.E.W. Local #102, Parsippany for over twenty years. Louie had a strong work ethic that had been instilled in him at a young age by his parents. He always gave 100% in all he did and never backed down from a challenge. As the oldest of three children, he modeled for his sisters how to be independent thinkers, responsible and have a drive to do well for yourself. Louie was very family oriented and devoted to his family. He loved his parents and sisters unconditionally. There was nothing he would not do for them. He loved his brother in law as the brother he never had and enjoyed talking sports, history and current events with him. Above all, he loved his two nephews as if they were his own. He was the fun uncle and couldn't wait to see them each week. He was always ready to play or watch sports on TV with them. He looked forward to attending their sports games and cheering them on. They always knew that they could count on Uncle Louie to be there for anything or to simply lend a listening ear and talk. Louie was a generous spirit and touched the lives of many. He always kept in touch with family and friends in the U.S.A. as well as in Italy. He was always ready to help anyone in need without wanting in return. He always had a smile and made family and friends feel welcome. Louie was a happy go lucky guy. His laughter and humor could light up the darkest room. He had the ability to make everyone smile. To know Louie was to love him-being in his presence was always comforting and nothing short of entertaining. He will always be remembered for being 'forever young'. Louie had a strong faith and had become very spiritual. He looked forward to attending weekly mass. He was a firm believer in God. Louie enjoyed spending time down the shore with his family and frequenting casinos. He enjoyed watching and rooting for the N.Y. Giants and LV Raiders. He also enjoyed watching and attending N.Y. Yankees games. Louie will be sorely missed by his loved ones but is reunited with his papà in heaven. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Monday, November 17, 2025 at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 10:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit on Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
