Arlene Ianzano, 84, of Totowa, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on October 21, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, dedication, and warmth that touched the lives of all who knew her.
A cherished second-grade teacher in Totowa, Arlene spent her career inspiring young minds with patience, kindness, and a deep passion for learning. Her former students often remember her not just for what she taught, but for how she made them feel—seen, supported, and encouraged.
Beyond the classroom, Arlene was a woman of rich traditions and heartfelt joy. She had a deep love for travel, especially when shared with family and friends. Unforgettable memories were created in Italy, Disney and anywhere that had a beach. Holidays were her special gift to her loved ones—filled with meaningful traditions, and an atmosphere only she could create. No holiday was complete without "grandma's macaroni", rice pudding and her signature cookie trays.
Arlene lovingly tending to her "Mary garden" each year—a reflection of her quiet faith and nurturing spirit. But above all, her greatest joy was time spent with her family. Whether near or far, her love was constant, unconditional, and deeply felt.
She will be remembered for her gentle heart, generous spirit, and the countless lives she touched.
