Cooke, Stella (nee Todzia), age 96 of Woodland Park at rest in Woodland Park on October 8, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Bernard Cooke Sr. (2010). Loving mother of Bernie Cooke Jr. and his wife Susan of Clifton, Carolyn Melbourne of MI, Joseph Cooke and his wife Mary of AZ, Donald Cooke of CA and Kenneth Cooke and his wife Dina of MD. Adoring grandmother of Amy Francisco and her husband Frank of Mahwah, David Cooke and his wife Chapin of Hackensack, Dawn Pantano and her husband Lou of Mahwah, Danielle Patti and her husband Joseph of MI, Renee` Cooke of NC, Jaclyn Cooke of NJ, Christian Cooke of Arlington, VA, and Liam Cooke of MD. Doting great-grandmother of Josilyn Martinez and her wife Brianna Pflug of Lincoln Park, Chaz Giordano of Mahwah, Jason Francisco of Mahwah, Damian Pantano of Mahwah, Jeremy Pantano of Mahwah, Jacob Patti of MI, Julian Patti of MI, Mia Bierilo of NJ, and Ricky Bierilo of NJ.

Born in West Paterson, she grew up in Paterson before moving back to West Paterson in 1967. Stella was an employee of Passaic Valley High School, Little Falls, for 20 years before retiring in 2000. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. While known to be just a bit outspoken, she was always available to support her family during challenging times. An avid Yankee and Green Bay packer fan, Stella could always be heard cheering robustly for her favorite teams. Her passion for competition was also on display at sporting events involving her kids and grandkids, both as a coach in her younger years and as the loudest fan in the stands even when in her 80s! Stella will be missed but her incredible spirit will live on in her family members and in everyone who had the opportunity to know her. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Tuesday at 12:30 PM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James RC Church, Totowa at 1:00 PM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Monday 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
