Vacca, Nicolena “Lee” (nee Ferriero), age 92 of Woodland Park at rest in Paterson on September 20, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Nicholas Vacca. Loving mother of Joseph Vacca, Stephen Vacca, and the late Sam Vacca.   Dear grandmother of Rosalie, Joseph, Ashley, and Michelle.  Great grandmother of Genevieve, Josephine, Jack, Riley, Owen, and Ava. Also survived by her dear friend of over 55 years, Carol Mangani.  

Born in Jersey City, she lived in Paterson for nearly 60 years before retiring to North Carolina in the early 90’s with her beloved husband. After Lee’s sweetheart passed, she moved to Woodland Park 11 years ago.  

Lee was a saleswoman for Barbizon Company Store, Paterson for many years before retiring and was also a homemaker after she had her children so she could spend time with her three boys and create everlasting memories that they constantly talked about throughout her life. She enjoyed nights out during the disco era and could always be found at the center of the party on the dance floor getting her groove on. She was known for being a superfan of Elvis, as was evident at her 90th birthday party.

Lee was a very active member of the Woodland Park Seniors Club. Wednesday was her favorite day of the week as she loved spending time with her closest friends playing games, conversing, and most importantly, breaking bread with those who were an extension of family for her. When she wasn’t lighting up a room with her vibrant smile and social life, she enjoyed playing bingo, her Keno games and watching Lifetime movies in her downtime. Above all, her greatest happiness came from every moment spent with her family.  

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Wednesday at 11:00 AM.  Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Tuesday 4-8 PM. 

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Woodland Park Seniors Club in honor of Lee would be appreciated. Checks can be made out to the Borough of Woodland Park, with the memo line referencing “The Seniors’ Club”. Checks can be mailed to the below address.
