Piccolo, Helen V. (nee Silvano) at age 88 of Haledon, NJ at rest in Paterson on August 29, 2025. Beloved wife of Sonny Piccolo of Haledon. Loving Mother of Cheryl Scarmazzo and her husband Jimmy of Wayne, and predeceased Robyn Certaro and her husband Jimmie of North Haledon, Loving Stepmother of Mark Piccolo and his wife Kara of Howell, Gary Piccolo and Veron Piccolo of Florida and predeceased Kevin Piccolo of Pequannock. Loving Grandmother of Lauren Cheff, Jimmy Certaro, Justin Piccolo, Julia Piccolo, Kayleigh O'Hagan and her husband Jimmy, Megan Piccolo, Jimmy Scarmazzo and his wife Amanda, Stephanie LoBiondo and her husband Jimmy and Jamie Pennetta and her husband Joe. Loving Great Grandmother of Alex and Olivia Scarmazzo, Theodore O'Hagan and Robbi Pennetta, Loving Sister to her predeceased siblings Millie Silvano, Dr. Nino Silvano and his wife Eve, Connie Carlo and her husband Bob and Dr. Joseph Silvano and his wife Barbara and Loving Aunt/ Great Aunt/Great-Great Aunt to many nieces and nephews. Helen was born and raised in Paterson and lived in Haledon since 1969. Helen was a bookkeeper for most of her career and retired from the Grand Chalet about 18 years ago.

Helen started out as a mother of twin daughters, and 38 years ago she married Sonny Piccolo and went from being a mom of two to a mom of six. Soon after Helen became a grandmother and quickly fell in love with each one of her grandchildren. When the great grandchildren started to arrive, she was over the moon on becoming "Nonna".

Helen was a member of St. Paul's RC Church in Prospect Park and St. Paul's Rosary Society where she held the position of President of the Rosary Society on a few occasions. Helen was very active at St. Paul's and enjoyed participating in fund raisers and activities held at the church. Helen loved spending time her with family. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her friend's playing cards or just enjoying their company. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Wednesday from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 9:15 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Paul's R.C. Church, Prospect Park at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Paul's R.C. Church, 286 Haledon Avenue, Prospect Park, would be appreciated.
