Sportelli, Marie A. (nee Lochli), age 83 of Pine Brook, at rest in Pine Brook on August 18, 2025. Beloved wife of fifty two years to Domenick Sportelli of Pine Brook, Montville Twp. Loving mother of Lisamarie Sportelli of PA., Dr. Domenick J. Sportelli and his wife Tonianne of Boonton and Michael Sportelli of Santa Clarita, CA. Dear grandmother of seven and great grandmother of two. Sister of Kathy Missbrenner of Boonton and Frank Lochli of East Hanover. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews and her beloved pet dog, Roxie. Marie was born in the German village of Homorod, Romania. She came to the U.S.A. in 1950 settling in Clifton before moving to Pine Brook in 1975. She was a Bookkeeper for Marcal, East Paterson, (Elmwood Park) for many years before retiring, when she then became a homemaker. Marie had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to laugh with her family and friends. She was passionate about her love of animals and her horses and always appreciated the beauty of nature. Marie had a very adventurous spirit and loved the idea of traveling the world. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Saturday, August23, 2025 at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 9:30 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
