Dox, Margaret E. (nee Joyce), age 94 of Wayne at rest in Wayne on August 17, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Matthew T. Dox (2022). Loving Mother of Michael Dox & his wife Linda of Bloomfield, and the late Matthew J. Dox (2020) and his wife, Pat. Devoted grandmother of Matthew Dox, Jr., Meghan (Dox) Sims, Katie Dox and Michael Dox. Caring great grandmother of Addie and Blakely Sims. Margaret is preceded in death by her sister, Ann Touhey, James Joyce, and Robert Joyce. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Paterson, she lived in Wayne since 1975. Driven by strength and the desire to provide for her family, Margaret embarked on what she considered her greatest accomplishment: becoming a nurse at 40 years old. She attended school while caring for her husband and two sons. During this time, she also worked full-time at Brownstone, demonstrating an incredible sense of perseverance and a deep commitment to serving others. Margaret was a Registered Nurse for St. Gerard School, Paterson for 12 years before retiring in 2002. Prior to that, she worked for St. Mary's Hospital, Passaic and Chilton Memorial Hospital, Pequannock. She was a parishioner of Holy Cross R.C. Church, Wayne.

Her greatest joy was spending time with her grandchildren, especially on their annual trips to Long Beach Island and Point Pleasant. She loved eating dinner at the shrimp box, getting ice cream at Hoffman`s, and walking the boardwalk. Her favorite sport was football, attending many Giants games as well as their first Superbowl win. She loved taking short trips to places such as Maine and Pennsylvania. Margaret loved living her life to the fullest. She will be truly missed. Relatives and friends may visit Thursday from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM with a prayer service at 11:30 AM at Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
