Intrivici, Calogero "Rino" age 92 of Totowa at rest in Paterson on August 16, 2025. Beloved husband of Rita (nee Reda) Intrivici. Loving father of Ezia Martino and her husband Anthony. Dear grandfather of Ariana and Anthony Martino. Brother of Biagina Librizzi, Giuseppina Intrivici and the late Momina Giunta. Born in Castellana Sicula Prov. di Palermo, Sicily, Italy. He resided in Paterson prior to moving to Totowa.

He came to America from Italy in 1959, sacrificing everything he knew in pursuit of the American dream. Before beginning that journey, he proudly served in the Italian army, an experience that shaped the courage and strength he carried throughout his life. He worked as a pastry chef at Paterson Pastry Shop in Paterson, and later at Leonard's Bakery in Passaic, where he created exquisite Italian pastries and wedding cakes before retiring in 1997.

His path was rooted in deep love for family, an unshakable work ethic, and a fierce dedication to building a better life. With tireless devotion, he created a home filled with warmth, tradition, and values that he passed down through generations. Married for 63 years, he was a devoted husband, a wonderful dad, and the most loving Nonno. Everyone called him "Nonno" because he truly was everyone's grandfather, welcoming, kind, and endlessly generous. He taught us what matters most: family, faith, and love.

The world lost a hero. We say goodbye to an extraordinary man who lived with deep pride in his Italian roots, who believed that family was everything, and who loved his grandchildren with all his heart. Family was his world, and his grandchildren were his greatest joy. He poured his heart into them every single day, and was deeply proud of his daughter becoming a doctor, a reflection of the values he instilled.

He showed us what it means to be strong, generous, and full of love. He found joy in the Totowa Italian community, sharing espresso, playing cards at the Roma Social Club, and dancing the night away at Italian dinner dances with friends. He was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church.

Though he may no longer walk beside us, his memory will live on in the stories we tell, the meals we share, and the love we continue to show one another, just as he taught us.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Friday at 10:00AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 10:30 AM. Entombment at Laurel Grove Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit Thursday 4-8 PM.
