Paradiso, Carmela (nee Onnembo), age 92 of Wayne at rest in Seaville on August 7, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Emiddio Paradiso. Loving Mother of Maria Siniscalchi and her husband Aldo of Seville, Enza Amabile and her husband Mario of Wayne and Lorenzo Paradiso and his wife Sandy of Clark. Dear grandmother of Tristina Amabile, Carmela Berman and her husband Akiva, Tony Amabile and his wife Nesrin and Gina Siniscalchi. Great grandmother of Massimo Berman. Sister of Italia Onnembo of Italy. Born in Postiglione, Prov di Salerno, Italy, she came to the U.S.A. in 1972 settling in Paterson, then Prospect Park before moving to Wayne in 1993. Carmela was a Seamstress for High Fashion Coat Factory, Paterson for many years before retiring.

With heavy hearts, we celebrate the life of a truly extraordinary woman, a mother of three, grandmother of four, and great grandmother of one. Born in Italy, she carried her roots with pride and brought the beauty of her heritage to her new home in the United States.

Her journey was one of strength, courage and deep love for her family. She worked tirelessly to build a life filled with warmth, tradition and unwavering care, values she passed down through the generations.

Her home was a sanctuary of love, where every meal brought family together and every visit left us feeling comforted and seen. She had a quiet strength, a generous heart and a spirit that lifted everyone around her.

Though she may no longer walk beside us, her memory will live on in the stories we tell, the meals we share and the love we continue to show one another, just as she taught us.

She will be deeply missed, forever remembered and always loved.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visiting on Monday, August 11, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM. Dismissal from the funeral home at 10:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 10:30 AM. Entombment to follow at Laurel Grove Memorial Park Mausoleum, Totowa  In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 would be appreciated.
