Szymialowicz, Florence (nee Haydock), age 99 of Totowa at rest in Boonton on July 18, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Chester Szymialowicz (2000) for fifty-two wonderful years. Loving mother of Chris Gibson & her husband, Tom of Hillsborough, NC, and Greg Simms & his wife, Gail of Jefferson Township. Dear grandmother of Taylor Gibson & his wife Sara, Greg Simms Jr. & his wife Ashley, and Lindsey Gibson, and the great grandmother of Eva Simms. Florence is survived by a few friends and many cherished nieces and nephews.

Born in Plainfield, she lived in Totowa for most of her life. She was a long-distance telephone operator for AT&T, Wayne for thirty years before retiring in 1992. Mrs. Szymialowicz was a parishioner of St. James RC Church, Totowa for over fifty years and was a member of the Mothers Guild for Saint James School. She also was a member of the Totowa Happy Seniors. She loved to bake, with birthday cakes and Christmas cookies her specialty. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral services at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Wednesday, July 23 at 12:00 PM. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, 340 Ridge Road, North Arlington. Friends may visit Wednesday from 10:00-12:00 PM.
