Alberta J. DePasquale Obituary

Alberta DePasquale (nee Komsa) was born in November 1941 on a farm in Wyckoff, New Jersey. She passed away peacefully at home on July 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.

For over sixty-three years, Alberta's home was the heart of her family. Her husband, four children, ten grandchildren, and nine great grandchildren, along with their spouses, gathered with her most weekends and often during the week. She was the center of their world, just as they were the center of hers. Her boundless energy, unwavering support, generous praise, and unconditional love formed the foundation of their lives.

Alberta began her career as a hairdresser in 1960, working for many years in salons across Glen Rock, Wyckoff, Westwood, and Clifton. She eventually fulfilled her dream of owning her own business, becoming the owner and head cosmetologist of Shoshanna's Beauty Salon in Fair Lawn, New Jersey. Her professionalism, warmth, and talent left a lasting impact on both her clients and her colleagues.

Alberta will be remembered not only for her skilled hands and dedicated work ethic, but most of all for her loving heart, which touched the lives of everyone who knew her. Alberta was an avid NY Mets fan and enjoyed playing Bingo as well as trips to Las Vegas. Her greatest love was taking care of her family.

Alberta is survived by her beloved husband of sixty-four years, Anthony DePasquale of Woodland Park. Loving mother of Anthony DePasquale Jr. of Woodland Park, Steven DePasquale and his wife Lynn of Woodland Park, Mark DePasquale and his wife Michele of Totowa and Darcia DePasquale of Woodland Park. Dear grandmother of Anthony DePasquale III and his wife Terez, Alexis Puluse and her husband Ray, Mark DePasquale, John Steven Cangro and his wife Megan, Tony Cangro and his fiancée Nicole Tross, Joseph Cangro, Steven DePasquale, Angela DePasquale and her fiancé Domenick Ruggiero and the late Dominic DePasquale and the late Gianna DePasquale. Great grandmother of Aubriella, Cameron, Emilio, Vivienna, Evelina, Vienna, Raymond, John Anthony and Elliana. Sister of Albert Komsa and his wife Joan of Florida, NY and the late Lois Cocula and the late Marilyn Brock. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
