George Cozzolino, age 92, of Totowa, passed away peacefully at home on June 27, 2025.Beloved husband of the late Grace (née Capriglione) Cozzolino, who passed in 2017. Loving father of Maria Henderson and her husband William, Linda Bukowski and her husband John, and George Cozzolino. Cherished grandfather of William, Kayla, Brian, Jon, and Jenna.

He is also survived by his dear sisters, Ninette Palmieri and Angelina Cozzolino and nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by siblings Carmela, Luigi, Vincenzo, Louise, Emilia, and Genona Cozzolino and brother-in-law Jimmy Palmieri.

George had a deep affection for his loyal hunting dogs and companions over the years: Sammy, Gemma, Franny, Brandy, his beloved Rocky who was with him for seventeen years, and his young puppy Venito.

Born in Cosenza, Province of Calabria, Italy, George immigrated to the United States in 1960, residing in Newark and Paterson before settling in Totowa. A proud entrepreneur, he was the longtime owner of George's Deli in Paterson, and later ran George's Home Improvement in Totowa until his retirement and began working at Shoprite in Wayne in Deli Department.

Before coming to America, George served in the Italian Army. He had a passion for the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing with his son, George. He also took great pride in gardening, making homemade wine and, his love for cheerios and most of all, in spending time with his loving family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Thursday at 9:30 AM. A Funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 AM at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa. Interment will take place at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa.  Friends may visit Wednesday 4-8 PM.
