Loving mother of Christopher Kerwin & his wife Michele, Kenneth Kerwin & his wife Kathleen, Keri Giacchi & her former husband Joseph and Robert Festa Jr. Beloved grandmother of Joseph Giacchi & his wife Chelsea, Mark Giacchi & his wife Maegan, Stephanie Giacchi & her boyfriend Alex Diaz, Kenneth Kerwin, Connor Kerwin, Kylie Kerwin and Alexa Riker. Dear companion of Jay Celentano. Caring sister of Dr. Daniel McGuire & his wife Marie, Georgiana Bonardi & her husband Jerry, Diana Welch, Sherri Lee Merlo & her husband Rob and the late George Welch Jr. Arlene is also survived by her step-mother, Phyllis Welch, as well as many nieces and nephews. Born in Union City, she lived in Totowa since 1970. Arlene was a homemaker. She was a parishioner of St. James R.C. Church, Totowa and a member of its Senior Citizen's Club. She was a former member of the Red Hat Society. Arlene was a Councilwoman for the Borough of Totowa from 1999-2010. Prior to that, she was on the Totowa Borough Board of Education. She was a member of the Totowa Borough Republican Club, Murph's Boys Charitable Organization, and was very involved raising money for the senior citizen bus.
