Q: How did you meet Bernard?
A: Mr. Kerik was the best boss in Iraq and a good friend. I will never ever forget his kindness and how he helped me to reunite with my daughter. He was full of passionate and loves to help. He is loyal and a man of his word.
It's very difficult to lose him, I understand he is in a better place but we will miss his calling and texts. America lost a hero and patriot.
Rest is Peace Sir, we will never forget you.

Thank you for sharing Mr. Kerik with us. I was an inmate with Bernie at Federal Prison Camp Cumberland in 2011 - 2012. He was truly a gentleman. He gave and received tons of respect from all the other inmates. Upon my release we bumped into each other by One World Trade Center. Being a free man, I thought he would act funny and not speak, but he was still his humble self. He recognized me and gave me a big hug in front of his colleagues. Thank you Bernard Kerik for the short time I met and knew you. God has a special seat in Heaven for such a good man!

Q: How did you meet Bernard?
A: I met Mr Kerik at a Trump rally in Wildwood NJ. I thanked him for his service and asked him if I could
Take a photo with him. We talked for a few moments and he was very gracious. A true patriot and a gentleman. May he rest in peace.

Q: What was Bernard's favorite recipe?
A: Well, it’s not exactly a “recipe” per se, but I do recall him telling me that he liked sweets and that when he couldn’t sleep he would wake up late at night to eat a chocolate fudge brownie with a glass of milk filled with ice!
I’ve never heard of anyone else drinking milk with ice in it before but he swore it made all the difference.
I went to the bakery earlier tonight and I bought fudge brownies. At Midnight tonight, I’m going to fill a glass with ice and milk and I’m going to have one in his honor.
Strength and love to his beautiful wife and children, he loved you all so very much.
Rest easy Commissioner….your legacy has left its mark on the world and it’s now time for your biggest promotion yet…
.Fly high!

Commissioner Kerik,
A well respected and decorated police officer whom was able to get NYC through its darkest moment in American History. A cops cop who never forgot where he came from and never needed recognition for his meritorious actions. A mentor and friend to many around the globe. Bernie, my friend…your time on Earth was way too short. You were a great man with a kind heart.
You taught me so much about life. How to keep myself safe and be vigilant and how to remain calm in stressful situations. You educated me with a thorough understanding of the threats our country faces on a daily basis. When something would happen, I’d reach out to you to get your opinion & you were always right about who was involved & what occurred even before the investigation was complete. I would tell you “ You are always right! How do you know so much?” And you would laugh.
You loved the stories I would tell you about my Italian father, who came over on the boat when he was young. We would laugh constantly. My family was like the real life Godfather & you knew it. I also know how much you enjoyed the Godfather movies!
One of the funniest memories I have of you is when you, your friend Pitch and I were in Maryland and I looked at Pitch & said to him “do you think I’m a clown, do I amuse you?” You looked at him & bursted out laughing so hard, I thought you were gonna flip backwards in your chair!! I don’t think you have ever laughed so hard in your life! It was truly a classic moment!
I remember how you talked about your family and how much you loved them. Celine and Angelina had the toughest Dad out there and I remember you telling me your daughters would not date or have boyfriends! I knew that wouldn’t last long because they are both beautiful girls.
And your son Joe, what an amazing man he has become. Seeing pictures that you shared with me of him & his family always warmed my heart. I know how proud you were of him and I know you will keep an eye on him from Heaven.
It’s hurts me tremendously that you are no longer here, but I’m grateful to have good memories that I will keep close to my heart. As they say, it’s never goodbye, it’s see you later and my faith tells me I will see you again.
God bless you, Bernie, and God bless your entire family during this difficult time.

Bernie is my 2nd Cousin born a couple months apart. I remember one time at Aunt Betsy’s; Bernie, Steven, & David doing a Karate demonstration. He was always the Cool Cousin! I am very proud of him & all he has done. He has definitely made this world a better place. As health reasons keep me from being with you for the funeral, my heart weeps as I pray for all our family. God Bless.
