Pironti, Giacomo "James" J. age 74 of Woodland Park at rest in Paterson on May 19, 2025. Beloved husband of the late Irene (nee Butler) Pironti (2015). Loving Father of Christina Pironti and her partner DJ Schmertz, Angela Pironti-Ponzo and her husband Joseph Ponzo, Jr., Michelle Fistunenko and her husband Jason, and James Pironti, Jr. and his wife Carolyn. Adoring grandfather of Valentina, Claire, Daniela, Julia, and Buddy, the Italian Beagle. Dear brother of Roseann Cammarota. He is also survived by nieces and nephews: Lilla, Vicky, Gino, Jerry, Helen, Kathy, Denise, and Vince. Born in Alberobello, Italy, he immigrated to the United States in June of 1961 settling in Paterson, before moving to Woodland Park. He was a crane operator for Rapid Pump & Meter Machinery Services, Paterson, for 35 years before recently retiring. Prior to that he was the owner of Giacomo's Pizzeria for over 10 years. Mr. Pironti enjoyed his flower garden and being outside. He loved collecting boots and die-cast replica car models. He was also an avid history buff. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Friday at 10:00 AM. Entombment to follow at Calvary Cemetery Mausoleum, Paterson. Friends may visit Thursday 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
