Lucin, Ante "Tony" age 82 of Paterson at rest in Paterson on May 10, 2025. Beloved husband of the late and former Kristina Folja (2005). Loving father of Annie Lucin of Paterson and the late Krsto (Chris) Lucin (2019). Dear grandfather of Christopher Ante Wilfredo Cruz and Xenia Kristina Cruz. Brother of Branko Lucin and his wife Ankica of Queens, NY.   Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Tony was a Machinist for Victors Three-D, Inc., Maywood, for many years before retiring in 2020. Tony was born in Nin, Croatia (formerly Yugoslavia) on September 12, 1942. Tony was born near the ocean and learned to swim before he could walk and became an avid fisherman. Tony's mom, Marija (Latkovic) Lucin passed away shortly after he was born. He came to the U.S.A. in 1967 settling in the Bronx, NY before moving to Paterson in 1972. Tony married the love of his life, Kristina on July 24, 1971 and became a U.S. Citizen on March 15, 1976. He was always proud of his Croatian heritage. Tony was a huge World Soccer fan of Croatia and he never missed a game. He would take the family to see the Cosmos play in NY in the 1980's. He was an avid gardener and grew and maintained an organic garden since the 1960's and his daughter and grandchildren will continue and maintain his gardening tradition. Tony made friends everywhere that he went. He was known to his granddaughter's friends as "Tony the Great". Tony was very much loved by his daughter and his grandchildren and his grandchildren were his life. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Thursday, May 15, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit on Wednesday, May 14, 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Donations in his memory may be made to St. James R.C.
