Rosalia A. Seminerio (nee Sgobba) age 96, passed away peacefully on Thursday May 8th, 2025 . Rose was the beloved wife of Joseph Seminerio (2001), loving mother of Charles and wife Debbie, Joseph and wife Carol, daughter Susan and husband Jerry. Precious grandmother of Bobby, Michael, Dana, Steve, Jenna and Gerard, dear great grandmother of 7 great grandchildren. Rose was the loving daughter of the late Nicola and Vincenza (nee Fontana) Sgobba. Born in Utica , NY, Rose lived in West Paterson, Hawthorne and Paterson. She had a very strong work ethic and was a talented seamstress who worked in several union facilities in Paterson for a number of years. She was passionate about women being treated fairly in the work place and eventually became president of the International Ladies Garment Workers Union. She enjoyed being involved in activities and belonged to the Senior Citizens clubs of Wayne and Totowa. Rose was most happy when she was spending time with her big family. She was a significant positive force in the lives of her children , grandchildren and the entire family. She was a beautiful woman of quiet strength , fiercely loyal and lovingly devoted to her family – deeply loved and respected by her many nieces and nephews as well. Our family is so grateful that we had Mom for a good long time but we will greatly miss her beautiful smile at all our family gatherings, her words of encouragement and her wonderful presence. We will cherish forever our many wonderful memories we have of Mom . Rest in peace Mom, we love you always.

Visitation will take place Monday May 12th, 2025 from 4 to 8 pm at Festa Memorial Home 111 Union Blvd Totowa NJ. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral mass from Festa Memorial Home at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday May 13th at St Gerard's Church Paterson at 10 a.m. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery .
