Grassa, Judith (nee Patacco), age 81 of Woodland Park passed away peacefully with her family by her side in Woodland Park on May 7, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Daniel James Grassa Jr. (2019). Loving mother of Joanne Grassa, Leslie Ann Mulroony, Danielle Mulroony and her husband Tim, and the late Susan Grassa who was born sleeping in 1971. Adoring grandmother of Danny and husband Michael, Jamie Kmon and husband Mike, Erin Mulroony and fiancée Paul Holzach, and Luke Mulroony. Doting great-grandmother of soon to be 1st great-grandson Wes who is due to be born this month. Dear sister of Joseph Patacco and his wife Betty and the late Joanne Galletta and late husband Bill. Loving sister in-law of Bernice Calafiore and husband Sam. Dear daughter of the late Joseph and the late Angelina (nee Tarsitano) Patacco. Adored niece of Jenny Tanguay and late husband Alfred, and George Patacco and wife Joy. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Born in Paterson, she lived in Paterson, then in West Milford and Totowa, then Pennsylvania, before moving to Woodland Park. She worked as a teller at Irving Savings, in Paterson and Wanaque and at BAE Systems, Wayne, before retiring. Mrs. Grassa was a parishioner of Our Lady of Pompeii Church. She loved to cook and enjoyed entertaining and was known for her delicious rice pudding and meatballs. She also had a strong devotion to St. Padre Pio. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Monday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at Our Lady of Pompeii Church, Paterson at 10:15 AM. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit Saturday 2-6 PM.
