Loving father of Stephanie Svenda and her husband Steven of Little Falls, and Kimberly Smith and her husband Dustin of Middletown. Adoring grandfather of Ellie and Ember Smith. Dear brother of Nancy Saia and Lorraine Seminerio. Best of friends of Tammy Mariconda and her late husband Dave, and their children Greg and Tim Mariconda. Born and raised in Paterson, he lived in Totowa for most of his life before moving to Little Falls. He was a Certified Public Accountant for many years. Mr. Saia was a former member of the Totowa Board of Education and he was very active at the Totowa PAL. He was also a devout parishioner of Notre Dame R.C. Church in North Caldwell. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Monday at 9:00 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at Notre Dame R.C. Church, North Caldwell at 10:00 AM. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Sunday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM.
