Hofbauer, Mary Louise (nee Glashausser), age 85, died peacefully on April 13, 2025 surrounded by her family. Born in Orange, NJ, she lived most of her life in Clifton Park, NY, and Kinnelon, NJ. She was the dear daughter of the late Charles and Ruth (nee Deitz) Glashausser. She was also the beloved wife of the late John M. (Jack) Hofbauer. She is cherished by her children Michael J. Hofbauer, his wife Leslie, John F. Hofbauer, his wife Buena (Ann), Paul C. Hofbauer, and his wife, Joanna. She is lovingly remembered by her brothers, Charles Glashausser, his late wife, Suellen, Francis Glashausser, his wife Denise, her sister, Ruth Hansen, and her husband, Stewart Lingley. She was preceded in death by her son, Joseph Hofbauer and her daughter, Teresa Blair. She was the adoring grandmother/great grandmother of 22 grandchildren, and 7 great grandchildren. Virtue is often cultivated during hardships, and Mary certainly had her share of those. Mary was the epitome of so many virtues, particularly the virtues of patience and charity, even as she endured the loss of two dear children (Joseph & Teresa) and her beloved husband (Jack). Through the difficulties, she was always cheerful and smiling to all who encountered her. Despite the many hardships Mary endured in her earthly life, her strong Catholic faith remained steadfast. She truly lived her earthly life in a way that reflected her ideals -- in the end, we are comforted by the promises of Jesus, and the likelihood that she may already be rejoicing within the gates of the Holy City. Mary will be missed beyond measure. Relatives and friends are invited to visit on Monday April 21st, from 5-8 PM at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd. Totowa, NJ. The Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Chapel, 32 W Franklin Ave, Pequannock, NJ on Tuesday April 22nd, at 10:30 AM. Interment to immediately follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, in East Hanover, NJ. Friends and family may also visit 1 hour before the Funeral Mass at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home.
