Obituary of Margaret Rose Schiavo

Schiavo, Margaret Rose (nee Vatrano), age 93 of Paterson at rest in Wayne on March 27, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Joseph Schiavo Sr. (2018). Loving mother of Joseph Schiavo, Jr. of West Milford, Anthony Schiavo and his wife Edie of Wayne, Andrew Schiavo and his wife Sandy of Ringwood, Angela Schiavo of Wayne, and the late Theresa Francis Schiavo. Dear grandmother of Michael of Totowa, and Christopher and his wife Yashira also of Totowa. Adoring great-grandmother of Kayla and Joey of Totowa. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Paterson, she was a lifelong city resident. She was a secretary of hospice for Visiting Health Services of Passaic County, Totowa, for over 40 years before retiring in 2002. Mrs. Schiavo was a member of St. Mary's Rosary Society, Paterson and would volunteer at nursing homes. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Monday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. Mary's RC Church, Paterson at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Laurel Grove Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit Sunday 2:00 PM - 6:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital would be appreciated.
