Oliva, Helen E. (nee Mattei) age 90 of Totowa at rest in East Hanover on March 20, 2025. Beloved wife of the late Charles "Buddy" Oliva. Loving mother of Debra Pastorino, Laurie Polito and Lisa Krueger and her husband George. Daughter of the late Joseph and the late Mary (nee Felicetta) Mattei. Sister of Ida Voorhis and Marie Rollin. Also survived by seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild. Born in Paterson, she was a lifelong resident of Totowa. She was an employee for Walgreens Pharmacy, West Caldwell, for twenty-six years before retiring. Helen was a parishioner of St James R.C. Church, Totowa. She enjoyed bus trips to Atlantic City and loved to shop. She was an excellent cook and had Sunday family dinners. Helen cherished spending time with her family and grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Monday at 9:30 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James R.C. Church, Totowa at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Laurel Grove Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit on Sunday from 2:00-6:00 PM.
