Obituary of Joseph F. Porta Jr.

Porta, Jr., Joseph F., age 93 of Little Falls at rest in Paterson on March 10, 2025.  Loving Father of Joseph F. Porta III and his wife Karen of Campbell Hall, NY, and Lisa Porta-Moschetta of Little Falls. Adoring grandfather of Sean M. Kenny of Little Falls, and Joseph F. Porta IV and his wife Megan of Tuxedo Park, NY. Dear son of the late Joseph F. and the late Bettina (nee Bocacela) Porta.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born and raised in Fairview he lived there for most of his life before moving to Little Falls 15 years ago.  He was the head custodian for Bergen County Technical Schools, Paramus, for over 25 years before retiring in 2015.  He was also the co-owner of Porto Bro’s Trucking, Fairview. Mr. Porta loved to fish and hang out with his brothers.  He also loved to go to flea markets.  He was a collector of everything.  His favorite time was in Pennsylvania at Breezewood and the Hideout.  Cremation is private at the request of the family.  Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Wednesday April 9^th from 3 PM to 5 PM with a memorial service at 4:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the VFW, 406 W. 34th St. Kansas City, MO 64111, would be appreciated.
