Joanne and Christine I have been blessed to be friends with them both for 35 years. I am so lucky that I have such wonderful memories of first meeting both of you at The Disney Store in Paramus. We became fast friends and even in when I moved to Florida they came to visit me in Walt Disney World. I have been blessed to spend Christmas every year with you both. I will miss my friend Joanne so much her laughter and excitement I will never forget. Joanne Loved Christmas She collected Santa Clause's She has entire Disney Tree and her apartment was decorated perfect all the time . Joanne will always be with me every time I see a Santa Clause Statue she will be there with me . I love you my friend Hope you and Chet are together you are loved and will be missed. God Bless RIP Joanne.

Q: Where did Jo Anne like to travel?
A: This is a picture of Jo Anne and her husband, Chester, at my wedding, on October 27, 1984. They were married two years earlier, on Valentine's Day, in 1982. They had a wonderful marriage and loved to travel. They enjoyed 2 honeymoons, one in Atlantic City & another one in Bermuda. The Bee and Thistle Inn, in Old Lyme, Connecticut, was their favorite getaway. They also had 2 unforgettable family vacations to Disney World. When Chet passed in 1988, he may have physically left this earth, but his spirit stayed, wrapped in love, in Jo Anne's heart. He was always with her. Now, 37 years later, their spirits are reunited in the heavens above. They are both truly at peace now, in a place where the special love they share can shine and thrive with the stars forever. They have reached their final travel destination.

Patty, this is Christine. If you are reading this, I remember you. We miss those days on Sherman Ave. so much. I think I spent as much time in Virginia's house as my grandmother's. She taught me how to play solitaire and my mother and I loved visiting her at Christmas time, sitting around her kitchen table with a Chock Full of Nuts Marble cake and some coffee. A quote from Robert Louis Stevenson- "A friend is a present you give to yourself." Jo Anne became such a friend as we began our journey in nursing school in 1962. We shared a rotation experiencing many highs and an equal number of lows. We supported each other with tears and laughter, the laughter usually prompted by Jo Anne!
Over the many years, we shared the milestones and successes of our children and then our grandchildren.
Jo Anne's love of her family was paramount.

I remember years ago when we first moved in next door to Christine, Joann was visiting helping out with a garage sale. My daughter was about 5 years old and started talking to Joann for a long time. When they were done, Joann said, "That was the most intellectual conversation I've had all day!" That was so sweet of her, I never forgot it. May you always remember the sweet times you shared with her.
