Obituary of Joseph Mattei

Mattei, Joseph age 88 of Pompton Lakes at rest in Wayne on February 23, 2025. Dear son of the late Pasquale and the late Marianna (nee Festa) Mattei. Loving twin of Michael Mattei of Pompton Lakes. Loving brother of Patricia Iorio of Totowa, Rose Marie Luisi of Totowa and the late Angelo Mattei, John Mattei, Maralda Sienkiewicz, Maria Mockler and Lena Schab. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and grand nephews. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson for most of his life, then in New Mexico for five years, then Riverdale and Woodland Park before moving to Pompton Lakes. Joseph was a Welder for Universal Ballast, Paterson. Then, he was a Security Guard for Cambridge Security working for DYFS and William Paterson College. Joseph was an avid church goer. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 at 12:00 Noon. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit on Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 Noon.
