Obituary of Pasqualino Cifelli

Pasqualino Cifelli, 71, of Totowa, NJ transitioned into Heaven on February 22nd, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Lizbeth (Cusano) Cifelli. The proud father of Anna (Cifelli) Zuluaga and Giancarlo Cifelli. In his recent years, he was the incredibly overjoyed Nonno of Matteo Zuluaga and Gianni Cifelli.

He was born in Guasto di Castelpetroso, in the province of Isernia, Italy on January 8th, 1954. At 22 years old, he moved to the United States in 1976 and resided in the Ironbound section of Newark, NJ before moving to Belleville, NJ to raise his family for over 30 years, and then retiring and settling in Totowa, NJ for the past 7 years.

Pasqualino, known as Pat by so many, was the embodiment of a loyal and hard working man. He worked in construction for the majority of his life. If you knew him you knew he was proud of being able to work with his hands to build both at work and at home. He was also especially proud of his sense of direction, being able to navigate through the state of New Jersey without a map and never getting lost.

Pasqualino's greatest joy in life was truly his family above all else. Whether it was with them around the dinner table, in his backyard, or anywhere else; if his family was there he was complete.

Some of his favorite interests were listening to music and tending to his vegetable garden. If you knew him you knew how proud of it he was. He was also known as an incredible dancer, always at the center of the dance floor with the biggest smile at any party.

He is survived by his wife, Lizbeth, of 43 years, his daughter Anna and her husband Bryan of Randolph, NJ, his son Giancarlo and his wife Jacqueline of Wayne, NJ and his grandsons Matteo and Gianni. He is also survived by his sister, Giuseppina Armenti and her husband Gabriele of Belleville, NJ, his brother Filomeno Cifelli and his wife Antonia of Guasto, Italy, and his brother Fernando Cifelli of Guasto, Italy. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews.

ln lieu of flowers, Pasqualino requested donations be made to the John Theurer Cancer Center in Hackensack, NJ in his memory.

Funeral services will be held on February 26th, 2025 at Gate of Heaven chapel in East Hanover, NJ at 11:30 am.
