


Obituary of Harold T Morcom
Morcom, Harold T. "Howie" age 88 of Totowa at rest in Paterson on February 19, 2025. Beloved husband of sixty eight years to the former Carmela J. Albano of Totowa. Loving father of Debra Monzillo of Clifton, Janice Schmidt and her husband Harold of Hillsdale, Kathleen Morcom-Scott and her long time companion Kevin Kaufman of Hopatcong and Harold Morcom of Paterson. Dear grandfather of Kristin, Gerard V., Nicholas, Joseph, Stefan, Ellen, Jaqueline and the late Alicia Scott (2003). Great Grandfather of Maizie and Anastacia. Born in Paterson, he lived in Paterson for most of his life before moving to Totowa forty years ago. He was a Firefighter for the City of Paterson, Fire Department for thirty two years retiring in 1995. Howie recieved his Associates Degree and was an Architecht for Liberty Machine, Paterson and Singer-Kearfott, Totowa. After retirement he was a substitute teacher for the Paterson Board of Education and Passaic County Technical Institute, Wayne. Howie was a member of the FMBA Local #2. He was a founding member of the Retired PFA #202. Howie served in the U.S. Army during the Korean war and was a member of the American Legion Post #227, Totowa. He was a member of the Passaic County Emerald Society Chapter #7. Howie enjoyed tending to his vegetable garden and supplied tomatoes to everyone. He enjoyed crabbing at the Jersey Shore and Ocean City, MD. He enjoyed his beach home in Ortley Beach. He loved to sing, especially karaoke. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and a N.Y. Yankee Fan. Howie was a jack of all trades and could fix anything. He enjoyed cooking Sunday breakfast as well as meals when he was in the fire house. He was a great husband, dad, grandfather, great grandfather and friend. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit on Monday, February 24, 2025 from 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations to the N.J. Firemen's Home, 565 Lathrop Avenue, Boonton, N.J. 07005 would be appreciated.
