Loving father of Domenico Iacovo of Hawthorne, Sara Iacovo & her husband Oreste of Hawthorne, Franca Iacovo & her partner Salvatore Guarnieri of Hawthorne, Antonella Esposito & her husband Aldo of Woodland Park, and the late Gianni Iacovo. Adoring grandfather of Vincenzina & her husband John, Gianfranco & his fiancé Leeza, Melissa, Adriana & her husband Braulio, Alessio & his partner Melissa, Eugenio, Michael, Annalisa & her partner Justin, Gabriela, Mossimo, Rosa Maria, and Giovanni. Doting great-grandfather of Angelo, Gianluca, Mariano, Simona, Martina, and Matteo. Dear son of the late Francesco and the late Angelina (nee Iacovo) Iacovo. He is also survived by many brothers in-law, sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Born in Cetraro Prov di Cosenza, Calabria, Italy, he lived in Italy for 30 years before immigrating to the United States and settling in Hawthorne. He was a warehouse maintenance worker for Opici Wines, Glen Rock, before retiring in 2018. Prior to that he worked in the textile industry in Paterson as a machine operator. Mr. Iacovo enjoyed spending time at the Roma Club, Paterson. He loved to play cards, and dance and he taught everyone how to dance. He enjoyed making and drinking wine and he loved his pasta. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Monday at 8:45 AM. Funeral Mass to follow at St. James RC Church, Totowa at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit Sunday from 2:00-6:00 PM.
