Adeyinka, Richard L., age 83 of Prospect Park at rest in Paterson on January 13, 2025. Beloved husband of Anthonia (nee Okpeaye) Adeyinka of Prospect Park. Loving father of Dolapo, Demola, Tosin, Dewura, Abayomi, and Afolabi Adeyinka. Dear son of the late Solomon and the late Julianah (nee Oke) Adeyinka. He is also survived by his grandchildren, brothers, and sisters. Born in Ado-Elciti, Ondo, Nigeria, he lived there for 40 years before coming to the United States, settling in Paterson before moving to Prospect Park 5 years ago. He was a nursing assistant for Daughters of Miriam, Clifton, before retiring in 2014. He was also a driver for the New Jersey Developmental Center, Totowa, retiring in 2013. Mr. Adeyinka was the former Men's Fellowship President of the Salem Gospel Church, Bronx. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Nigeria. He loved to dance, listen to gospel music and old school hymns. He also loved to watch basketball and football. He loved cracking jokes and had a great sense of humor. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Friday February 14th at 10:00 AM. Interment to follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, Totowa. Friends may visit Thursday February 13th 4-8 PM.
