Obituary of Jacob DeVisser

DeVisser, Jacob age 83 of Totowa at rest in Totowa on April 25, 2021. Beloved husband of the late, Judith Ann (nee DeLorenzo) DeVisser. Father of James Jacob DeVisser and his wife Cathy and Keith Joseph DeVisser. Grandfather of Zachary, Ivie, and David DeVisser. Dear son of the late Cornelius and the late Ruth (nee Vander Kooy) DeVisser. Brother of Nellie Van Dright and her husband Everett, Margaret Crisbacher and her late husband Frank, and Daniel DeVisser and his wife Carol. Born in Paterson, he lived in Wayne before moving to Totowa in 1960. He was the owner of J. DeVisser Landscaping, Totowa for 40 years where he earned himself the nickname, "Jake the Rake." Jacob loved to work on old cars. He owned a 1931 and 1957 "Chevy" and loved attending the classic car parade in Totowa. Relatives and friends are invited to meet at Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa on Wednesday at 11:15 AM. A graveside service will follow at Laurel Grove Cemetery, 295 Totowa Road, Totowa, on Wednesday at 11:30 AM.
