Obituary of Gilberto Forito Collazo

Collazo, Gilberto Forito, Jr. of Paterson, passed away on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at the age of 66. Gilbert was the first born to parents America Diaz and Gilbert Collazo Sr., in Fajardo, Puerto Rico. He was a proud graduate of John F. Kennedy High School, Class of 1970 and previous owner of the elusive canary yellow '70 Plymouth Road Runner Superbird and '68 Dodge Charger. He was a member of UWUA Local 601. He was a Meter Reader for PSE&G, Hackensack for 44 years before retiring in 2016. Gilbert is survived by his daughter, Yomaira Collazo-Oluwo and husband, Joseph Oluwo; daughter, Jessica Collazo; grandson, Braylon; brother, George Collazo; sister, Yvette Collazo; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a funeral service at the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Friday at 7:00 PM. Cremation will be private.
