Obituary of Joseph F Palumbo

Palumbo, Joseph F age 92 of Totowa at rest in Morristown on October 7, 2017. He was born to Lena and Frank Palumbo. Mr. Palumbo graduated from Central High School, New York University and NYU School of Law. Beloved husband of 61 years to Rose (nee Garger) Palumbo of Totowa. Loving father of Carole Palumbo of Totowa and Laura Dantoni & her husband, John of Totowa. Adoring grandfather of Traci DeVito and her husband Andrew, and John Dantoni. Dear brother of the late Roland Palumbo and Rosalie D'Amelio. He is also survived by several cherished nieces and nephews and his two cats Kishi Leo and Shayla. Born in Paterson, he lived in the Totowa section of Paterson before moving to Totowa Borough in 1960. He was the owner of JF Palumbo Realty,Woodland Park, for about 30 years and was also an appraisal consultant for The State of New Jersey before retiring in 2007. Mr. Palumbo was the past President of the Totowa Chamber of Commerce and was a former Totowa Councilman. He was a former member of the Totowa Board of Education. He was the president of the Bergen County Chapter of the Appraisal Society. Mr. Palumbo was a World War II Navy veteran where he was a radioman and he was a member of the American Legion Post 227, Totowa for over 60 years. He belonged to the Totowa Happy Seniors and was a member of the Totowa Italian-American Club. Visitation 4-8pm on Thursday, October 12, 2017.
