Di Paola, Luigi age 97 of Paterson at rest in Wayne on August 31, 2017. Husband of the late Marie Di Paola. Loving father of Mary Catherine Morel & her husband Andrew of North Caldwell. Caring grandfather of Matthew & Thomas Morel of North Caldwell. Devoted brother of Assunta Ippolito of Italy. Brother in law of Angelina Barbieri of Paterson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Born in Cerreto Sannita, Italy he came to the United States in 1961 residing in Paterson. He was a shoe maker by trade, then a line operator and then a mechanic for Shulton, Clifton. After that, he was a porter for Felsway Corp., Wayne. He served in the Italian Army and was a prisoner of war. Gardening was his hobby. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd, Totowa, on Tuesday at 9:30 AM . Funeral Mass to follow at Our Lady of Pompeii, Paterson at 10:00 AM . Entombment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery Mausoleum, Totowa. Friends may visit Sunday 4:00 - 8:00 PM..
