Obituary of Francis A Mentone

Mentone, Francis A. "Frank" age 88 of Totowa at rest in Paterson on May 10, 2017. Beloved husband of sixty eight years of the former Theresa C. Doscher of Totowa. Loving Father of Nancy A. Mecca and her husband Mark Sciacca of Totowa and Frank A. Mentone of Sussex. Dear grandfather of Christopher, Timothy and Nicholas Mentone. Great grandfather of Leanna, Susan, Walter, Hugh, Isabella, Sam and Abigail Mentone. Brother of Helen Romanowski of Ringwood and the late Russell C. Mentone. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and his beloved pet cat, Becky. Born in Lyndhurst, he has lived in Totowa since 1951. He was a Cashier for ITT Corp., Nutley, for forty years before retiring in 1988. Mr. Mentone was a member of the Totowa United Methodist Church. He was a founding member of the Metropolitan Rail Club, Little Falls, and was an avid railroader. He was also an avid rollercoaster fan. He was a member of the Morris Canal Society. He was an avid traveler who loved to hike and walk. He was known as a storyteller and jokester. He was also an avid bowler. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral from the Festa Memorial Funeral Home, 111 Union Blvd., Totowa, on Saturday at 9:30 AM. Funeral service to follow at the Totowa United Methodist Church, Totowa at 10:00 AM. Entombment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park Mausoleum, Totowa.
